Azure
Ethos
Azure named after Azure Dragon, the Dragon Gods who represent the mount or chthonic forces of the Five Regions' Highest Deities in ancient Chinese mythology. The Azure Dragons play a significant role in Chinese mythology and cultural symbolism and revered for his strength, wisdom, and auspicious qualities, symbolizing the harmony between heaven and earth.
Azure dragon also is considered the protector of eastern Japan and controller of rain. Kyoto's Kiyomizu-dera Temple continues to hold an annual festival to honor him. He is a symbol of ferocity, unrivaled strength, luxury, and creativity.
Azure universe will become a robust, creative, and harmonious ecosystem for users and developers who build within it.
Vision and mision
Azure as layer 2 Ethereum aims to overcome several main problems facing layer 1 blockchain technology, including scalability, cost efficiency, transaction speed and energy efficiency.
Azure additionally seeks to get beyond EVM's limitations. The inputs, outputs, and computations of a smart contract are all visible to all users on the network during regular Ethereum transactions. On the other hand, a user can engage with a smart contract and carry out its operations using Azure zkEVM without disclosing to third parties the precise nature of the inputs and calculations. Alternatively, they can produce a proof, or cryptographic evidence, that certifies that the smart contract was correctly executed while hiding any private information.
In summarize, the ultimate goal of Azure is to enhance the blockchain scalability without compromising security and privacy.
